Position Description
Overview:
We are hiring a Systems Administrator to provide advanced support for Linux, Windows, and virtualized infrastructure in a dynamic mission-critical environment. This position focuses on systems operations, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and patch management across both cloud and on-premises platforms. You’ll contribute to the stability and security of enterprise systems that enable essential national security functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 2/3 support for Linux and Windows systems
Monitor and maintain desktops, servers, and network components
Manage virtualization environments (e.g., VMware) and system lifecycles
Perform upgrades, patching, and OS-level enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues
Ensure security compliance using STIGs, HBSS, and related tools
Automate system tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripts
Support backup/recovery strategies and incident response
Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and configuration records
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of enterprise systems administration experience
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility
Security+ (or DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Strong experience with Unix/Linux and Windows systems
Proficiency in VMware and scripting for automation
Desired Skills:
Experience supporting IC mission systems
Familiarity with AWS hybrid environments
Knowledge of Red Hat, Solaris, SQL, and backup tools
Experience with ITSM tools and enterprise monitoring platforms
